Ohmio Executive Chairman Mohammed Hikmet acknowledged Lotte Data Communications Company, KOTI and the City of Sejong for their vision in bringing autonomous vehicles to the city. “We are delighted to be part of that vision. I also want to congratulate our Ohmio engineers for their great work in commissioning the vehicle remotely (from New Zealand) because of Covid-19 travel restrictions – surely a world first!” Mr Hikmet also thanked New Zealand Trade and Enterprise for its support for Ohmio. A second Ohmio LIFT is on schedule to be delivered to Sejong by LOTTE Corporation by the end of August 2020, as part of the evaluation of autonomous vehicle technology that will ultimately see some 250 vehicles deployed in the streets of Sejong.
